Rogers, now executive chairman, had resumed duties as CEO shortly before Mary Kay Ash passed away in 2001. The Company remains privately held, and ranks among the world's largest direct sellers of cosmetics, with wholesale sales in excess of $2.2 billion. With a worldwide independent sales force exceeding 1.6 million, Mary Kay is best known for its people-oriented culture and principles developed by the extraordinary woman who began her dream company on a shoestring with five products in a small storefront in Dallas in 1963.

As President and Chief Executive Officer, David is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Company with world headquarters in Dallas, five regional distribution centers in the U.S. and operations in well over 30 international markets, including Russia, China, Brazil and India. Mary Kay develops, tests, manufactures and packages the majority of its own products at state-of-the-art plants in Dallas and in China. As a direct seller with a generous marketing plan, the independent sales force purchases Mary KayŽ products from the Company at wholesale and sells them at retail to end consumers.

David is a member of the Mary Kay Inc. Board of Directors. He also serves on the board of the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC). At the World Federation of Direct Selling Association, David is a member of the CEO Council, and he serves various civic boards, including the Dallas Chamber, The Nature Conservancy and the YWCA.
