Don R. Daseke

Don Daseke

Don Daseke has been active in Addison since graduating from the first Addison Citizens Academy in 1998. He joined the Board of Directors of the WaterTower Theatre in 2003 where he served over the next seven years as Treasurer, Vice-President, President and Chairman. In 2005, Don was appointed to the Planning & Zoning Commission, serving as its Vice-Chairman. Don was then appointed to the City Council in 2009 and elected the same year. In 2010, Don was selected by the Addison Town Council to be Mayor Pro Tempore. In January 2011 he announced his candidacy to be the next mayor of Addison.

A Certified Public Accountant by education, Don was the founder and CEO of a Real Estate Investment Trust listed on the New York Stock Exchange until it was sold in 2000. As an entrepreneur and businessman, he founded and has been Chairman of a number of other technology and service companies. Don currently serves as Chairman of Smokey Point Distributing, Liquid Motors and East Teak Fine Hardwoods.

Don has served as a Trustee of DePauw University since 1984; the past Chairman of the Dallas Chapter of the World Presidents Organization; a member of the Chief Executives Organization; and served on the Executive Committee of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society. Don is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Addison Midday Rotary Club and Addison Business Association. Don graduated from the Leadership Metrocrest 2008-2009 class.

Don received his B.A. from DePauw University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.

Don and his wife, Barbara, have three children and four grandchildren. They have lived in Addison since 1997.

Todd Meier

Todd Meier

Todd Meier is a proud resident of Addison and has shown a longtime dedication to our community. From 2005 to 2007, he was a member of our Planning & Zoning Commission (serving as Vice-Chair from 2006-2007). While on the city council (2007 to 2009) he served on the economic development, sustainability & pension plan analysis committees.

Most recently, Todd have deepened his involvement in Addison's activities by becoming more involved at Metrocrest Social Services, the Addison Arbor Foundation, Addison Business Association and Addison Addvocates.

The issues and focus of his campaign will be in these three major areas:

  1. Reinvent, rejuvenate and renew our Addison economy so that we can continue to have superior Town services and reduce our taxes.
  2. Maintain and enhance our outstanding public safety services so we can continue to be safe and secure in our homes and businesses and have peace of mind.
  3. Include the folks of Addison in the process of dealing with our challenges by tapping their intellect, energy and volunteer spirit in a positive way to build a consensus for solutions.

He is a graduate of Leadership Dallas and Citizens Academy of Addison, as well as Leadership Metrocrest. In addition to his professional activities, he is involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations including the State Fair of Texas Board of Directors, the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, HP Byron Nelson Championship, Addison Business Association, Addison Addvocates, Greenhill School Investment Committee, Addison Arbor Foundation and the Metrocrest Social Services Board of Directors.

Todd Meier is an attorney with Shackelford Melton & McKinley. His legal practice focuses on counseling clients in the technology, manufacturing, financial services, commodities and service industries on transactional and operational matters, as well as providing litigation services as needed.

As a Chief Felony prosecutor, Todd tried more than 300 criminal jury trials during his tenure with the Dallas County District Attorney's office.

His business career includes serving as the president and general manager of Rodger Meier Cadillac, Meier Oldsmobile and Meier Infiniti, one the most successful and well known auto dealership groups in Dallas. As head of a private investment firm he founded a decade ago, Mr. Meier reviews and analyzes investment prospects involving start-up businesses to mid-size private equity investments.

Todd's two children, Brennan and Mackenzie grew up in Addison and, like their dad, are graduates of Greenhill School. Mr. Meier earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University and his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.

Chris DeFrancisco

Married to wife Sarah and has two daughters Mary (9) and Anna (6). Chris and his family have been residents of Addison since 1999.

Was raised in a suburb of Philadelphia and is a graduate of the University of Alabama receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He has been in the banking industry almost his entire career as a Commercial Banker serving mid-market companies in a variety of industries.

Is a 2004 Addison Citizen Academy graduate, is a founding member of the Addison Midday Rotary Club, an active member of Saint Rita parish, on the St. Rita School Dads Club board, coaches soccer and softball through the Town North YMCA , served as a 2004 - 2006 Board Member of Shakespeare Dallas and served as Vice Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the Town of Addison 2009 - 2011.
